Who doesn’t love a Westie!!  This gorgeous West Highland terrier, or ‘Westie’ has a bright inquisitive face, and in such a lovely size measuring approx 14 inches long x 12 inches high (to tops of ears). He is so lifelike…just look at the picture of him looking out the window….hard to believe he’s not real!
He is made from a white mohair, with pert, erect felt ears, a velveteen nose, and stitched mouth. He has the original  glass eyes, backed with felt pieces, which adds depth to his expression.
He is not jointed.
This dog is in playworn condition, so there are a few thinning areas to the mohair, and a couple of small holes to the linen pads, but he is an old boy after all, dating to the 1930’s, so I think he has survived pretty well!
The head is straw filled (wood wool) and kapok elsewhere. I don’t know the maker, but he would have undoubtedly been made by one of the English firms of the era, possibly Chad Valley or Farnell.
He is in clean condition, with no unpleasant odours, and comes from a non smoking home.
