BEAUTIFUL DARK GOLDEN
ANTIQUE ENGLISH C1930
ALPHA FARNELL TEDDY BEAR 20″
This lovely antique English Alpha Farnell teddy bear dates from circa 1930. He no longer has a label and measures approximately 20 inches in height. He is five way jointed with all joints being in very good firm condition, He is made of fairly long pile mohair which is very clean and retains approximately 95% coverage with no age related fading or discolouration. His mohair is a beautiful rich guinea gold colour. His head and body are wood wool filled, whilst his limbs are kapok filled. His stuffing is still firmly and evenly distributed, and he has a reed and bellows (non functioning) growler located in his tummy. All four brown velveteen paw pads are original and apart from a few very minor, very small marks (which are extremely slight and only visible under very close scrutiny, but are mention for the sake of accuracy) his paw pads are in very good condition.
He has lovely large original glass eyes (stitched in) and original brown vertically stitched nose with long upwards end stitches, and original brown stitched muzzle.
He is a very clean bear with no musty or unpleasant odours. He has no serious faults or damage, and no repairs.
He has only light playwear and is a gorgeous antique bear in very good condition.His vintage bronze bell and antique navy blue French silk neck ribbon are not original to him, but both are included in the sale. HE DISPLAYS BEAUTIFULLY & IS AN ADORABLE ANTIQUE BEAR FULL OF CHARM.
HE IS A SUPER EXAMPLE OF A COLLECTABLE ANTIQUE ENGLISH TEDDY BEAR & WOULD BE A CHARMING ADDITION TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION. If you require any further details or photos please don’t hesitate to ask . . . Thank you for veiwing my listing today!
