I,ve had this bear since 1955 when my brother brought it back from Germany for me when he was in the army.
There is some wear and tear as I have tried to show in the photos.
As you will see from the head photo Teddy was given a hair cut by me when I was six years old (according to my mum).
He has very handsome golden blond hair, original footpads and glass eyes. See photos for further details and condition.
He has no button or hole in his ear and when I sought information on him quite a few years ago, the antique toy specialist opined that he may likely be made by Bing of Germany.
He has long arms and a little hump back. Friendly looking.
On balance the bear is in nice condition apart from his hair cut. Also his growler has not worked for some time, although you can hear it when he’s swung on his back.
Dimensions – 17.5 ” high (44cms) and 16″ round the tummy.(40cms).
