EINCO TUBBY DOG circa1912 and his friend EINCO BABY CLOWN circa 1915
This wonderful Einco Kiddieland TUBBY Dog is fully jointed and measures 10″ long and 7″ high. He is shown in the 1913 Gamages Christmas Bazaar catalogue along with his friend FiFi cat (also for sale in separate auction). He is made from mohair stuffed with woodwool and is in good condition for his age with some balding mainly to his face, a stitched repair to his forehead and one to his belly where possibly the squeaker has been removed as I can’t feel one there now. He still retains oodles of original charm and comes with his friend; Einco Baby Clown. This baby clown is quite naive but charming and was made for Einco circa 1915 – 1920. It has a cloth face with white glass googly eyes, blue and black pupils, stitched nose, mouth and eyebrows. It has a blue ovoid felt body with pin jointed mohair arms and legs and mohair back of head with a red mohair hat with a bell on the end. It measures 10″ to the tip of its hat and has a small hole to the back of the body and a dirty face.
