A whimsical, and very doddery, early French dog with an amzing turned up nose! Called Louis, he has a swivel head and pin-jointed legs, though they’re all swingy, and two have since been sewn on, but still move. His head wobbles and rotates 360 degrees on the metal cotter pin of the joint. Made of mohair, his white fur is now a mere sprinkle, and he measures 15 cms (6″) high, and 23 cms (9″) long from nose to tail. Woodwool-stuffed, Louis has clear glass eyes on wires, which are probably replacements. His black-embroidered nose and mouth are hanging on by threads, and there’s some rusty staining here and there from his internally wired legs. Overall, he’s a wacky canine, but ever so endearing. He wears an old grey leather collar with a non-ringing bell, and blue ribbon. Thanks for looking.
