A Charming Antique German Teddy Bear.
Circa 1910-20
With its history and all its characteristics I believe this is possibly a Steiff although there is no button
It is very small – just 6 inches sitting down.
He has an appealing face with short ears, amber & black glass eyes with a crooked smile and stitched nose & mouth.
His arms and legs are jointed. His paw pads are worn in parts where you can see the straw filling, and so will need repairing. He has stitched claws.
His body is a dark brown coloured mohair.
