CUTE GRUMPY LOOKING LITTLE ANTIQUE FLUFFY BLUE MOHAIR RABBIT 10″ c1930s ENGLISHClick images to enlargeDescriptionMagnus is a very cute grumpy looking little old antique rabbit, who probably dates from sometime during the 1930’s.
He has no makers labels to identify him, but he’s almost certainly English.
Possibly made by Chiltern?
He measures slightly under 10″ in height (including his ears)
7.5″ (excluding his ears).
He’s made of lovely fluffy blue and white mohair, which is clean and soft with virtually no age related fading. His mohair retains approx 99% coverage with no thin or bald areas.
His head is filled with woodwool, whilst the rest of him is kapok.
His stuffing is very firm and evenly distributed.
Magnus is unjointed/in a permanently seated position (but this doesn’t bother him unduly as he’s rather lazy and is quite happy to sit and watch the world go by . . .)
He has (original) pink glass eyes (stitched in)
and original black stitched nose and mouth, and still retains all his little whiskers on both cheeks (his whiskers are white, and they aren’t very easy to see in his photo’s, compared to seeing him ‘in the fur’ so to speak.
He is dressed in two lovely vintage blue ribbons, and ready to go to his new home. Magnus is in excellent condition with hardly any playwear at all (possibly due to his laziness?)
He displays very well and is a very endearing rather grumpy looking little bunny who would be an asset to any antique rabbit collection, or as a friend for an antique bear.
