This is Charlie, a sweet little old mohair 1950s bear made by the reputable English bear maker Chiltern, for their Hugmee design range. He is 14″ tall with glass eyes, plastic nose and the remains of his original stitched mouth and rexine paw and foot pads.
He has no rips or tears to his fabric, retaining about 80% of his thinning mohair. He has a non working growler in his tummy and is in pleasant smelling condition although his mohair is a little grubby and could do with a light clean. He has a charming, bewildered look to him and he would make a delightful addition to any old bear, or specifically Chiltern, collection. His four brothers, who also feature in the photos, are available in separate listings.
