Here’s Wilf, an early mohair bear with a gentle, upturned ‘star-gazing’ face, probably American or German. He’s all original and stands 36 cms (14″) tall. Woodwool-stuffed, Wilf has shoebutton eyes (one is surface worn), and a black-emboidered nose, mouth and claws. His felt pad are in near minty condition, apart from an old sewn repair to the tip of his right paw. There’s a non-working growler rattling inside his torso, but his joints are sound.
Although Wilf’s fur has faded in parts fom dark gold, more so at the front, the coverage is plentiful. Overall, he’s a lovely quality teddy with immense charm. Wilf is dressed in his handknitted clothes with vintage pin back ‘Get the hook’. Thanks for looking.
