1940s era 13″ musical lullaby cat. She is hard stuffed and I think a mohair cat but the material is coarse. I have only seen one on Ebay the same as this one and it was labeled (unlike my cat). It was either Deans Rag Book or Chad Valley – I just can’t remember. She has green glass eyes and pink stitched nose and mouth with a disk jointed head. See photo where the disk shows through, she was well made with a velvet lined ‘neck’. She still plays a lullaby when her key is turned. She has certainly been well loved and is threadbear in places and has a small hole to her left paw, see photo. Her tail is attached to her leg although the stitching is loose. She is a lovely age worn cat who is happy to sing her lullaby for you.
