A beautiful(and forlorn) looking tabby cat! He has the sweetest face. He’s been restored by a professional taylor, I took him to get a new zip and inner pouch in 2015 – I haven’t ever used him as a nightdress case since his restoration. He could also make a cute ‘sofa buddy to store remotes into! I’ve just had him on display.
He still has his 40s cloth label – but,I did have to reattach it as it was literally hanging by one lone thread. His rubber collar is original. His head also used to rotate, but as it got very floppy it has been stitched onto his neck. He retains his original facial stitching and glass eyes, although his left eye had been glued back onto him – you can see some dry glue on his face. He’s also very faded which is common for these toys – and he has some pinky coloured staining. Another Farnell cat I owned also had pink staining, despite me buying them separately years ago – so could that indicate they were both once pink? I don’t know. It’s either that, or a huge coincidence! Smoke free home.
