Walter c1908 Steiff Bear
Walter is a real old Steiff character with a beautiful face complete with his ff button in ear. He is in his fabulous antique sailor outfit and pin backs he’s worn for many a year. Measuring approx 16″ he still has his original pinky/beige nose and mouth stitching and his four claws on each limb . His felt foot pads are original with a few small holes and his hand pads have very old repairs. Once white Walter has hardly any mohair remaining however he remains a very strong and robust old chap. His joints are still free moving and he is solidly stuffed with wood wool with a now non working growler. Just noticed that there is a slight indentation around the muzzle which would indicate that Walter was originally a muzzle bear
