Poor old Wilf! Please consider giving him a loving home…..
Wilf is approx. 15″ tall, and has long since lost his eyes. There is evidence of where they were glued in, which was common practice, and they would have been glass on wire shanks. He’s had some damage to a paw pad crudely repaired, and there’s a definite protrusion in his chest where his squeaker is, but this doesn’t work unfortunately. He has felt pads, and there is evidence of the stitched outline of a long lost label on one foot pad (the shape of which makes me think he is possibly by the early English maker, Ealon Toy Co?) He’s hard stuffed with wood wool, and has fairly good mohair. He also has a bit of a ‘flat’ profile, bless him, as if he may have been stored for a very long time under something a bit heavy….
He comes with his lovely vintage Kodak camera, and an old baccy tin of coins, I think maybe they have helped him to have something to connect with as he can no longer see. With a bit of love he could be a wonderful and quite rare little bear again!
