Lovely vintage biggest size of 9 1/4″ Steiff Tom Cat,
dating from 1950s-1960s
made of black mohair,
feels to be hard stuffed with wood-wool throughout the body and head,
unjointed, in permanent standing position, with wires in limbs,
has got original clear and black plastic eyes with green backs,red thread vertically stitched nose,inverted V shape mouth stitching,
whiskers,velvet ears,three claws stitching to each limb,
‘bushy’ tail.
Tom Cat is approx. 9 1/4″ (24 cm) tall (without tail).
Condition – item is in good vintage condition with slight general wear, no balding patches; button missing, hole to the left ear where button used to be.
