I bought Hans at auction where he was listed as an early Hermann Bear. He is a really nice Bear with plenty of presence. He measure 29 inches and is wood wool filled throughout. He is made from a silk plush typed tipped materiel, I don’t think its mohair, although I have done the test and the hair turns to ash when burned. His muzzle, and inner ears are a velvet plush type material, he has glass eyes and canvas type pads one is damaged. He had a humped back, really long arms. He doesn’t have the 3 claws like most early Herman’s but he has the black (faded) horizontal stitched nose.
