This is a really beautiful 19 inch, old English Farnell mohair teddy bear dating from C1918/20s era.
He has replaced large old glass eyes, feet and hand pads and claw stitching and to his mouth, thw nose stitching looks original to him.
He would have originally donned webbed claw stitching to his hand pads but this was not done when he had replacement pads fitted. I am unsure what lies beneath the replacement hand pads. His feet are card lined.
He retins a large amount of light gold mohair, main fur loss is to belly area, foot/ankle areas and right arm. A little in other places. Elsewhere he is pretty well furred ( please view all photos) as this forms MAIN PART of his condition. I think stuffing as been added to torso and arms at some point in his life. His 5 swivel joints are nice and smooth. He is a very old boy and I have tried to describe him as I see him. With old items please do not expect mint condition. He is priced accordingly to condition.
