This is Baldicoot, an adorable old jointed, art silk Sooty bear, possibly of Europea origins, dating to the 1950s . He is just 9″ tall with glass eyes with painted backs, the remains of an embroidered nose and mouth. His plush coverage, is extremely sparse, but it is really what makes him so appealing. His neck is very wobbly but it is well secured. In all other ways he is pretty robust. He is clean and fresh smelling, he displays beautifully, and he would make a lovely addition to any old bear collection.
