Anne-Marie is an adorable vintage teddy bear from my own collection. Made by the company Jan Jac who made teddy bears in Paris, France in the 1950s she is in good condition for her age and dates from the very early 1950’s. She has a fair amount of her wonderfully soft pale blonde mohair left with just a small amount of thinning. She is quite softly filled and her tummy is a little saggy but she has all her original features as well as her Jan Jac chest label which is a little tatty but still readable. She has some pink stitches around her neck which are unlikely to be original but look to have been done many moons ago to secure the original stitches that are already there – this is quite common in French bears to see this type of stitching around the neck. She is wearing a handmade vintage dolls dress from the 1950s which has pink hand embroidered details, a vintage straw hat, a pair of old doll’s knickers and her prized honey spoon.
