A Group of Friends waiting patiently to go to the Teddy Bears Picnic, first we have a Chad Valley Mohair Bear approximately 15″ Tall, with replaced right paw pad and Replaced Glass Non Safety Eyes on long wires (unsuitable to be given to a child) he probably dates from the early 1950’s, his arm joints are a little stiff these days, he wears a sailor hat and a ribbon with bell around his neck and is in good condition for his age. Next we have a Steiff Sleepy Bunny approximately 8″ long from top of his head to the back feet, the button is missing, he’s in nice condition. The next is a small Armand Marseille Dream Baby approximately 10″ long bisque head, sleep eyes and cloth frog type body with composition hands, on the back of the neck it’s marked A.M. Germany but the rest of the letters are hidden under the cloth body. She has a tiny chip in the bisque underneath her left eye, there are no teeth. She is wearing vintage/antique clothes comprising of a fine woollen cape, lined and with lace edging, a dress, an underskirt, knickers and a newer bonnet There are a few age related breaks in the clothes but nothing too bad. She has a non operative squeaker in her back.
Lastly there is a small bisque head doll with ball jointed composition body, I can’t make out any makers mark, her eyes are fixed and she has a mohair wig. The Body could be a newer replacement or it could have been painted over I’m not sure, also she has a repair to her neck just below her left ear (see the last picture) She is about 9″ tall. Her dress looks to be hand made and very old she also wears a tiny hand made bodice, a vintage underskirt and long drawers, her shoes are much newer.
