No idea who made it or how old it is. It looks pretty old to me – at least 1930s if not earlier.Mohair and maybe straw filling – very solid feeling, glass eyes, yellow stitch nose and mouth. Yellow stitched claws (shoulod be three on each foot but one foot has none and one has only one stitch remaining)He is an unusual type of bear being the standing/walking on all fours more naturalistic than the ‘teddy bear’. Looks similar to the Steiff ‘pull along’ bear of the early 20th century but there is no sign that this bear was ever attached to wheels.Considering his considerable old age this bear is in pretty good condition – no holes and the filling is still tight and firm. He has a small black mark on one side of his face – perhaps a stray cinder from a fire? and a bit of stitching that suggests he may have had a collar of some sort.Any questions please ask.Good luck and thanks for looking
