An authentic antique teddy bear which has many features that indicate it may be of german manufacture. he measures 25 inches tall, has jointed arms and legs and one original eye. He is stuffed with what appears to be wood wool or some soft fibre. He has a growler or squeaker that doesn’t work, His paws have been covered at some point but I have endeavoured to show the original felt beneath which show traces of stiching for claws. He has a stitched nose. His fur is a beautiful silky blond mohair and is in good condition on his legs and arms but is worn on his torso. someone has sewn one ear back on very inexpertly and the other needs reattaching! All in all a beautiful, noble bear in need of tlc and restoration.
