Antique Teddy Bear. Restored. A really lovely light golden genuine fur. Obviously worn in places due to his or her age. The bear Just Needs a new Growler. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class OR Winning bidder / buyer may collect in person.
I purchased this bear which was in desperate need of restoration. He / she is filled with the original straw filling. I am unsure of the mohair but it is genuine. Im no super expert in all the genuine antique furs but possibly a Chelmsford or helm-bold mohair fur pile. with a strong non stretch strong backing. I used strong thread to restore and sew the dear bear. There was damage to its beautiful face, ears, paws and pads. Probably a 1900-1940s much pre loved teddy bear. 5 way jointed. I inserted glass eyes. I needle felted a beautiful nose. I replaced all four paw pads with a good quality durable fabric. Included is the scarf I made for him/her. The section to insert a growler is still open but not included. I think one could source a growler via eBay or else where. I think this bear is a great masterpiece and longs to be treasured in someones bear collection or museum for many many years to come. The bear is of a semi large size. I did name this Bear Rupert the Bear but its at your own discretion if youd like to rename.
