This characterful golden lion is solidly stuffed with no holes or tears and no stuffing escaping. He does show signs of his age, his face is faded, his tongue seems to be missing and he is a little threadbare in his mane and tail tuft (see photos). His only label reads “ALL NEW MATER[IALS] MADE IN JAPA[N]” and from my own research he seems to date back to the 1950’s, however I cannot confirm. He is made of a rich mustard velvet, with soft faux-fur mane, and silky thread whiskers.
