Old collectable teddy bear.
We have used the eBay teddy bear collectors guide to age and give information about the bear due to our lack of knowledge.
Estimated age of around 1910-1915 due to reasons listed below.
Does not have a makers mark or label.
Has a classic hump on the top of its back which is evident in early bears.
Has wooden jointed limbs. These are common in post 1905 bears.
Arms are long and thin, with ankles of teddy being thinner than the rest of the legs. This is typical of an older bear.
Limbs have felt pads and the nose is mid length.
Stuffing is firm throughout head and body. Thought to be wood wool due to density.
Has a growler inside.
Bear has been used and wear can be seen on top of nose, top of hands and feet, and bottoms of the legs. Hand sewn on the back, underneath both arms and underneath both legs as seen in images.
Do not know for certain the age/maker of bear, however by using the eBay guide we hope to have given the most information possible about the teddy. If more information is needed then please message me.
