This fabulous, comical old Eeyore toy donkey has baffled me because he looks quite like the Steiff/Disney version, but from fabrics and materials used to create him, he appears to be older than the 1960’s.He has tiny holes to his inner right ear, so a button might have been there, but of course this doesn’t necessarily mean he is Steiff.I have looked at vintage Eeyore toys said to be by Agnes Brush and also at Merrythought designs and my little donkey just doesn’t seem to quite match any of them.He is from a private collection of interesting antique/vintage teddy bears and toys, so I am leaving it to collectors to decide.If anyone knows more about him, please contact me as I am always happy to share expert knowledge.There are some obvious signs of age and wear, so please take time to view all of the photographs and to read the item description/condition report, prior to bidding.
