Antique Mohair Plush Fabric For Teddy Repair. Taken from a home made book cover. The book was of little value, published in 1896, and dated in ink the same year, it was clearly important to the original owner, who must have made the cover. The fabric looks to me like mohair plush, in a light gold colour, such as early Edwardian teddy bears are made from. If you have an old bear who has had a hard life, or are a bear restorer, this age mellowed plush must be just what you need for patching or limb replacement. Even the worn areas along the edges and spine could be used for the authentic worn look. The peice is about 37cm X 25 cm, plus a couple of cm around the edges. The gold cotton fabric inner liner is included. The plush was folded over and hand sewn onto the cotton, so the edges which were seen in look almoy new. Condition as seen in the photos please look carefully.
