This no reserve auction is for a family of three old teddy bears. They have been together for years, so I cannot separate them.
Daddy bear stands about 14″ tall. He is made from a dark gold/ginger brown coloured mohair. He has a fixed head, jointed limbs, Rexine pads/paws and original nose/mouth stitching.I think his eyes are plastic and I think he might be by Wendy Boston, possibly Lefray.
Mummy bear is about 11″ and is a 1960s to 1980s Merrythought teddy bear, with label. She is in good, virtually ‘as new’ condition and because it has always been hers, her tatty old dress is included in the sale.
Baby bear is only 6″ tall. He has tiny glass eyes and looks like one of the Chad Valley family of three bears, no label. His head is fixed, jointed limbs, but his arm/leg joints are plastic, so possibly replacements.
