‘Cosy’ is an antique teddy bear hand puppet from my own collection. She was made by Farnell in the 1920’s or earlier and still has a good covering of her quality mohair. She once had a label sewn on her back but this was lost many moons ago. Her paw pads which were originally linen have been recovered in felt otherwise she is in lovely condition for her age considering she is now at least 100 years old. She has spent many years on my dressing table as a cover for a perfume bottle but she also stands up well when filled with wadding. She will be sent wearing her antique lace and satin neck ribbon and old metal bell.

Original gold cotton lining in good condition
Paws pads have been recovered in felt
Quality mohair with a few bald patches and thinning all over.

As she is now a collectors bear puppet she is no longer suitable for young children.
