This adorable, unusual old chappie is Andie. He is a 1950s bear made by English bear manufacturer Farnell, part of their Alpha range, complete with ankle label. He has a fully working zip to his back suggestibg he was made as a pyjama case.  He is 12″ tall in his sitting position, with amber and black glass eyes and vertically stitched square shaped nose and mouth, favoured by this quality and much sought manufacturer. His head is jointed, very unusual for a pyjama case, and his mohair is bright unfaded and unworn, and he smells lovely. His linen pads are the only areas that show wear, with a few splits and water marks to them, see pics.  A wonderful old character bear to add to your collection.
