♦◊♦◊♦◊♦ ADORABLE RARE ANTIQUE C1930 BLACK & WHITE FRENCH BULLDOG WITH JOINTED HEAD

This charming antique French Bulldog has no makers label, tag, or trademark button, to identify which company manufactured him, but he is almost certainly of German or British origin, and probably dates from around 1930.He measures approximately inches 9½ in height from front paws to ear tips, 8½ inches in height from front paws to top of his head, and 9½ inches in length from nose to tail.His head and neck are disc jointed, his head turns smoothly and stays in position when he is posed. He is very well balanced and stands up easily without needing any form of support for display.He is made of black velvet and short pile, curly white cotton? or mohair? plush. His black velvet has very minor light age related fading (which is hardly noticeable) and retains 99.9% pile. His white plush retains 99% coverage and is very clean, but is slightly greyed by age, however this is not unpleasant and does not detract greatly from his beauty!
He is stuffed entirely with wood wool, which is still very firmly and evenly distributed. His ears and legs retain their original internal wires, which gives them limited movement. He has a relatively large non operative growler/voice box located in his body.
He has lovely large (stitched in) painted back brown glass eyes, and black vertically stitched nose and mouth . . . to the best of my knowledge his eyes and nose/mouth stitching are original.He has no musty or unpleasant odours, and is a very clean little dog.
He has light overall age related playwear, but no serious faults or damage and is a delightful little dog in generally very good condition. He is wearing a charming little vintage green leather dog collar which fits him perfectly, but is not original. The tiny silver name disc and large embossed silver bell attached to his collar were made for him by me.
