This charming Vintage Squeaking Toy Cat dates I believe to around 1940 or thereabouts.I have no idea as to its origins-it is possibly German or French but this is a guess.The Cat measures approximately 10.5 cm in length measured sideways on and stands approximately 10 cm high to the ear tip.It weighs approximately 37 grams.Her body is covered with a plush almost velvet like fabric and when the head and rear end are pushed towards each other the Cat squeaks.I assume therefore that there are bellows or similar within the body cavity.She has what I believe to be glass eyes and nose.The whiskers and tail are missing-I am unsure as to whether this is intended to be a Manx Cat.The mouth is hand painted onto the fabric.The Cat wears a lovely pale green ribbon which may or may not be original.

I consider the Cat to be in good vintage condition with any signs of wear being minimal and commensurate with age and use.
She has been very well loved and cared for and will look wonderful amongst any similar collection or as a Companion for an Antique Doll or Teddy Bear.
