This charming Vintage Golden Mohair Musical Teddy Bear measures approximately 14.5 inches from ear to foot and weighs approximately 430 grams.I believe that he dates to around 1950 – 1960 or thereabouts.
He is 3 way jointed (one arm does not move as it should) and he sits well unaided.He appears to be kapok filled.In order to listen to his music the winder to his back needs turning-I do not know the tune but it sounds like a delicate lullaby.The winder turns twice in order to play the music.He is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear commensurate with age and use.This basically consists of the stitching to his nose requiring repair & generalised wear/rubbing to his mohair and pads (which are original).There are no claws.
