‘Schuco’ 1920’s yes/no mechanical monkey toy made in Germany.
Made by Schuco in the 1920’s this 5″ tall ginger/orange mohair monkey has a yes/no mechanism which is worked by moving his tail so he can either nod or shake his head.
He is in overall good period condition with a good coverage of his short ginger orange with felt feet and hands and painted eyes and metal wire spectacles. One of his felt feet is missing as is the mohair cover on his tail and his facial features are a little worn as you can see in the photos but there is no other damage and he is a charming little character toy and would make a fantastic addition to any collection of Schuco or mechanical toys.
