This is ” Christopher Robin” one of my loved Chilterns. I am downsizing my bears & most of my dolls. I have a great many Chilterns, them being my favourite bear , but unfortunately I have had to make some sad choices & so am saying goodbye to “Christopher”. To me he looks male with his protruding nose , he has plenty of good quality quite long gold mohair still left on him, the worst part being his right arm that has a few thinning patches also his left arm lacks a bit of stuffing at the top but would be easy to put right. He has a lovely Chiltern head filled with woodwool, brown glass eyes & stitched nose & mouth. He has a wobble to his head , although he can still hold it up well, I think the joint is ok, but think he could do with a bit of stuffing right at the top by his neck, I am finding fault here , to me he is fine but like to point out everything to you. He is 5 way jointed. His pads to me look original, his feet are fine & he has 3 claws on each foot, his left hand has a few mending stitches down one side , the right one has a lot of mending, probably could do with recovering but he was ok for me. Both hands have stitched claws. I hope there is a Chiltern lover out there that can see what a handsome boy he is! He comes to you wearing his sailor romper suit which has been washed for his travel. He is out of my own collection & from my non smoking home.
