This is a lovely old bear with an endearing expression, dating from around the late 1950s. I believe him to be an Irish bear, he is fully jointed with an inoperative growler , and stuffed throughout with sub , a soft stuffing, but firmer than kapok. This cuddly fellow is in nice overall condition, with good mohair coverage. He has his original rexine paw pads, they show some wear and thinning and a couple of small holes, and a small sewing repair on the edge of one pad.His eyes are the plastic lock-in safety type. The colour of his mohair is deeper than some of the photos show, the nearest to it is probably the photo of Ted wearing the jacket.
Ted measures approximately 19-20 inches tall, and will go to his new home wearing his blue jacket and blue bow. Thank you for taking the time to look at him.
