This adorable little dog measuring just 5″ in length and height dates back to the 1950’s or 1960’s and was probably a pram toy. Loved and showing wear but no holes or stains.
He may be made of a very short mohair or vintage velvet as the reddy brown/rust coloured fabric has a woven backing and is not art silk. He has his original glass eyes, stitched nose and his tummy squeaker still works giving a really cute little puppy like squeak! At 5″ he would be a great size to sit with an antique styled doll.
I have given him a clean – he does not smell, and will come to you from my smoke free home. He has the remnants of a sewn in tag to his side, but I am unable to read the manufacturer.
