Nicely covered in marigold blonde mohair, which is long and curly. Most mohair loss is on his right lower arm and the top of his head – other than that, he has a really good coverage. His head has faded, in comparison to the rest of him but, as his accompanying story tells, he had a set of knitted clothes made for him that he wore – from new, so this could well account for the rest of him to have retained his original colouring.

All his joints work well and he has a working squeaker in his tummy. Velveteen paw and foot pads (card-lined foot pads) all intact, complete with full set of original claw stitching. Original nose and mouth stitching, with the ‘shield shaped’ nose. Original amber and black glass eyes. Kapok filled, with a little movement at stress points of ankles and wrists. Woodwool filled head. No holes.

Story is told in two parts, by the same person, explaining when and why he was bought in 1946, a little about his owner and what happened to him and how the bear was returned to the original purchaser, and what happened to him after that, plus a couple of photos.

Non-smoking home.

Low starting price, with no reserve.
