This is a very curious rabbit indeed! I bought him many years ago at an antique fair as he reminded me of the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, but there are no makers labels on him so I don’t know if he is licensed in any way or it’s purely coincidence. I’ve tried researching him but never found another like him, it’s time he found a loving new home though! He is about 15.5 inches tall from head to toe, excluding his ears, and his body is not jointed, no moving head or legs etc. Very cute little tail though, he would look wonderful with an antique pocket watch to match!
Condition: His fur is white mohair I think with felt paw pads on his back legs, and felt inside his ears though as you can see from the photos one of his ears is in need of repair work as half of the felt is missing and the wire is showing, I meant to find a teddy bear hospital to see if they could replace the felt in this ear using the good ear as a template but I never got around to it! He is worn overall with hair loss (one side of his face has most of the hair gone, also hair loss generally all over including tummy and fronts of feet) and the cardboard is showing through on one foot where the felt has worn away at the edge, his waistcoat has faded and neck tie damaged, and I think one of his arms may have been restitched on at some point too as some threads are showing but it’s hard to tell as his jacket is quite tight and does not seem to be removable as his arms aren’t bendy enough! I do wonder if the jacket was a later addition though as it does not look quite so old as the rest of him I think. Please take a look at the photos for more details of his condition. When I bought him he had no eyes at all so I added two glass amber eyes that are tied at the nape of his neck and could easily be removed and replaced if you wanted to. He is a very rare and unusual fellow though, i’ve never seen another like him, he really is lovely!
