Vintage Farnell Teddy BearMohair coverage is very sparse, especially on the face, body and arms, although still quite a lot left on his legs. Lots of wear and tear with both old and new repairs. He only had one ear when I found him, so I removed this, then split his original ear into two pieces and backed both pieces onto some new mohair to give him two ears, then popped them back on in the original positions. There is a large patch of new mohair on one toe and foot pads have been replaced. Paw pads have retained those lovely webbed claws although they have had some more felt added, has original foot claws and there is a large old “mummy” repair to one side of the face which I have left untouched. Lots of old darns and stitches throughtout, he’s certainly been very well loved in the past and it shows, but is structurally sound with all joints in full order.Long front closing seam, wood wool filled and there is an old squeaker in place, but it is not working.
