This gorgeous bear is looking for a new home as I am downsizing my collection.
He is a Richard Diem bear made in Germany, I believe he dates from 1950 – could be earlier.
He is all original but has thinning and bald areas to his mohair commensurate with age. His mohair is paler on his front than his back, his front also has the most hair loss.
He has pale glass eyes, a shaved muzzle with hand stitched nose and mouth. His pads are made from short pile mohair with three claw stitches on each one, his arm pads are worn in places.
Five way jointed, head is a little wobbly. Firmly stuffed throughout with woodwool.
These bears have large carded feet and can stand unaided – see last two pics. He measures 18″ from the top of his head to his heel.
Please study pics as these are part of the description.
He is wearing a vintage style sailor top to cover his thinning fur and keep him warm.
A rare bear not usually offered for sale.
Pet and smokefree home.
