Rare and unusual Farnell? musical soft toy swan dating to the 1920’s.
This unusual swan soft toy dates to the 1920’s or possibly earlier and has a working press musical movement in her tummy, although I do not recognise the tune! The musical mechanism works perfectly and the music playing is bright and clear. The swan is unjointed and stuffed with wood wool with a good coverage of her black and white mohair, with some overall thinning and small bare spots here and there. Her beak and feet are made from black velvet and are not faded or damaged.She is in generally good condition with all her original features intact, but she does have some stitched repairs at the back of her neck where the stuffing has slightly broken down, so her neck is a little bit wobbly. This is not too serious and shestill displays very well and would make a wonderful and rare companion to any hug or soft toy collection.
