Pedigree Soft Toys was a subsidiary company of the biggest toy company in the world in the 1930 till 1950 : Lines Brothers Ltd. Originally Pedigree was situated in the Tri-ang Works of Lines in Merton, Surrey, England. They began production in 1937 and made movable toys until the 1950’s.However the Pedigree brand really boomed in the 1950’s and 60’s this is when most of the T eddy Bears were made and so these are the ones most found and collected.This adorable happy little bear has a bell in his right ear ( so you will always know where he is ) He has short golden mohair fur and is stuffed with woodwool / Kapok. He is approximately 13″ tall. He has vertically up nose stitching and a slightly smiling mouth, and his arms taper towards his paws. Paw pads are made of velveteen. He has glass eyes and his arms and legs are jointed but not his head.Condition : He is in nice minor play worn condition. This sturdy little chap has manage to retain about 97% of his fur. He has poses nicely.He’s a very endearing little bear and obviously been very loved. He is a nice early example. This kind little bear who just oozes charm is looking for his forever home. Type of suitable home he is looking for dolls must be over the age of 50. Can live with other bears. Will need alot of attention on arrival until he settles in.
