Here we have a lovely old dressed mohair bear made by Deans. He once formed part of one of the bear displays at The Bear Museum Petersfield, but it closed down in the mid 1980s as far as I can gather. He is 14″ tall with glass eyes, a hand stitched nose and mouth, and his head and hands are mohair whilst the rest of him comprises a black velvety suit, red felt waistcoat and card lined felt feet with a frilly shirt with a cummerbund which reads has printed on it “THE BEAR MUSEUM PETERSFIELD”. Apart from the frill of his shirt being ever so slightly grubby he is in excellent unwirn and unfaded condition. He has a Deans label tucked under the back of his waistcoat. I have never seen another bear like him and from what I have researched I believe him to be absolutely unique. He would display beautifully in any old bear collection.
