Well you don’t see these little bears very often especially with the earlier “Royal Warrant” to HM the Queen which dates him anything from 1938/52 when she became the Queen Mother. Which could make him up to 78 years old! No wonder he has a few little problems , his unusual downward facing paws need repairing , his felt pads are worn. His right foot has been patched, his left with the Chad Valley label is not bad with a couple of holes that should be darned before they get bigger. He is made with a wool material, probably Alpaca, he has a very good covering all over, just odd places ,little patches of thinning but mostly good. He is 2 coloured so parts of him are a darker beige than others , he might have faded a bit in places. He has brown glass eyes and a stitched nose . He really is a rarirty especially with this earlier label. He is out of my own collection which I am having to downsize, I have had him for about 15 yrs , I saw him at an auction and thought he looked a little bit different. He is from my nonsmoking home.
