Abe is a wonderful antique teddy bear made by BMC for a very short period between 1907-1908 during the initial teddy bear boom. Sadly they could not compete with other companies such as Steiff making them a very short lived company and their bears much sought after as well as being a very important part of teddy bear’s history.
Abe measures 12″ and is in totally original condition with around 80% of his light apricot mohair remaining with thinning to his head like most old gentlemen of his age. Abe is stuffed with kapok and has a non working squeaker complete with his BMC sash on his right foot. Abe wears his antique cotton shirt with red embordered Omaha
