Very nice and rare to find early coloured art silk plush teddy bear, believed to be by Dean’s, dating from 1920s,
made of pale pear green art silk plush, stuffed with kapok and wood-wool throughout the body and head, wood-wool in the muzzle,
fully jointed,
has got original clear and black glass eyes with brown painted backs,pronounced clipped muzzle,
original black vertically stitched nose with nostrils, inverted Y shape mouth stitching,
original brushed cotton pads with some general wear, but no holes or tears, three claws stitching to all limbs,
inoperative cardboard squeaker in the high chest.
Teddy Bear is approx. 13″ (33 cm) tall.
Condition – item is in good antique condition with some general wear and discolouration, still plenty of good original colour, joints are fine.
