A lovely old bear with rather a worried face – he reminds me of Pooh Bear with his ears hence the name – all he needs now are a few friends & some excitement! He is 15 inches tall, fully jointed & a mix of woodwool & kapok stuffed with a non-working squeaker. His handpads are replaced but his footpads are original linen – there is a hole to one exposing kapok. He has lost a lot of mohair & his backing fabric is quite dark – the mohair he has forms a nice contrast as it is still quite golden. He has Chiltern type nose stitching – he may well be an old Chiltern – he is certainly old English – & I would think his boot button eyes are replacements. He has a tiny hole to one side of his head – the size of a pea – but there is no woodwool escaping as it is tightly packed (zoom in on picture 4). Despite this he is a strong old bear & will come as pictured – his badge reads “opportunity always knocks at the least opportune moment” so I’m hoping someone can change his view of things :-) A lovely old chap in need of a home for Christmas xxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
