This funny little antique novelty teddy bear is possibly by Schuco, but I cannot be certain of this as he is unlike other Schuco tumbling bears I have seen and handled.

I think it likely he is of German origin and probably dates to 1920’s, early 1930’s.

He has long mohair covered wooden arms, but his hands are bare wood, and I think under the mohair, has a metal head and body and legs.

He has glass eyes, almost certainly original. His mouth and nose are exposed black metal, without any stitching and I am not sure if he was made looking like this, or if it has happened over the years of play.

He will require some TLC to restore him to working order, but personally, I think he is extremely cute as he is.

Doggie Sale!! Pip and Penny, Old Pedigree Poodles, Labels, REDUCED!

I am listing a number of old and vintage “twin” bears and animals who have spent a long time together so I would like to sell them as a pair. Some you could describe as identical twins, being made at exactly the same time by the same maker, others are non-identical but close enough in looks to pass for siblings! See group photo for all listings in one pic.
Next up are identical twin poodles Pip and Penny, cute wool plush pups made by Pedigree and dating to around the 1950s or maybe earlier. Both are 12″ tall and have blue glass eyes, stitched noses, their original ribbons and their labels sewn into their bottoms. They are sub filled and their fabric is sturdy and fresh smelling with no areas of wear to speak of. A pretty little vintage pair!

Ww1 soldier bear and 2 mascot bears all tatty

Three great old World War One characters in tatty and well loved condition .

Farnell soldier bear , balding but still has some blue fur left . He has problems with all his limb joints, 3 are sewn on and are very loose . He has no ears

Very tatty old mascot bear,? bald with a stitched on face about 6 and a half inches tall.one arms hanging on by a thread and his head has been sewn on, he has a hole in his better paw.both his feet are missing altogether and some stuffings come out.

Lady mascots just over 6 inches tall, bald with boot button eyes, they have pin joints and are a little loose.

The heads been stitched back on and doesn’t move and the metal rod is showing on two places on left leg

All come in outfits .

Overall great characters with lots of issues but they are all over 100 years old so it’s not surprising.
