This small Straw Filled Rabbit measures 2 3/4″ high x 5″  long.  It has glass eyes with stitched mouth and hair whiskers.  It is minus some of the covering.  The end of the ears and the top of its tail are Black, I don’t know if this is original or not?  apart from this it is in good condition.

A sweet pair of vintage Gebruder Hermann bears, mum and baby. They’ve lived together for over 30 years in two different music rooms and are accompanied by their postcard of written provenance. Both bears are original and date to c.1960s. They’re woodwool-stuffed and fully-jointed, with amber glass eyes and a black-stitched nose and mouth.

Both teddies were bought second-hand for the baby daughter of Americans, Joni & Terry Greenman in the mid-1980s. The bears were displayed in their music room for many years, until the 2008 crash forced them to sell. They’ve since lived together in a different music room in Canada, and are now temporarily residing with me (not in a music room!) until they’re re-homed.

Mummy Hermann is 30 cms (12″) tall, and in lovely condition, apart from a little wear to her felt pads. Her mohair is a light caramel colour, and her clipped muzzle is made of contrasting gold mohair. She’s wearing her pretty vintage knitted dress and pink ear ribbon.

Baby Hermann is in minty condition with a loud working squeaker. She’s 26 cms (10″) tall, and made of pinky-beige mohair, with a separate protruding muzzle of clipped fur. She’s rather more chubby than her mum, and is dressed in her little vintage brushed cotton jacket and frilly panties. She also wears a pink ribbon in her ear.

These cute teddies are in need of a new music room so they can play ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ on the piano – they already have their music sheet! Thanks for looking xx

This intrepid bear scout is an adorable Chiltern Hugmee teddy c.1950s. He stands 59 cms (23″) tall on card-lined feet, and is mostly original except for an old re-stitched nose. Stuffed with kapok (head woodwool), he has amber locked-in eyes for safety, and an embroidered mouth that’s mostly covered by his fur.

Scout’s pads are made of velvet, and he has a full set of claws, though some have been restored in the past. All his joints work fine, but his squeaker has packed up. In wonderful condition having kept most of his honey-blonde mohair, Scout is a typical flat-faced post-war Chiltern, with his signature deadpan expression, short chubby legs, and curved paws.

This cute, cuddly character is wearing his vintage British boy scout’s beret with metal fleur de lis badge, plus a genuine scout’s neckerchief with six embroidered badges. He also wears a leather scout’s cross round his neck, and leather wrist-bands. ‘Be prepared’ is the scout’s motto!  Thanks for looking xx
