Old Vintage Antique Jointed English Teddy BearJeremy is a dear old English vintage teddy bear who stands at 15 inches tall. He has obviously been well loved and cherished over his years.As noted in the sellers notes he is; Considerably love worn and aged. Has patchy mohair coverage, is threadbare in places . Has visible seams and stitch work. Distressed paws.Jeremy has the look of an early pedigree bear, but I can’t be sure about this. His label on the back is hand stitched in red and reads “England” . Or (Made in) England. He has amber and black two part plastic eyes ( not safety locked) His stitched nose and mouth look to have been restitched at some point, but suit him rather well. I think his nose would have originally been made of stiffened velvet.His pads are a distressed and worn soft brown velvet and he has a threadbare area above his left bottom paw( one of many). His head is filled with possibly kapok or a sub filling as is the rest of his body.He has a nice crunchy wood wool filled snout.Jeremy has an old squeaker in his belly, but sadly this no longer works. He is jointed five ways with good joint connections for his age. He has a fair coverage of mohair for his age but there are significant bald patches all over him, especially to his back( around his label) , his right side of face, and front… and ears… The plush has faded over his years too, as is to be expected. All this being said, Jeremy is a classic old bear with bags of character and a long history.Despite his fairly shabby condition he holds himself together well… Like any old English chap.Please study the photos carefully as they form part of the description.Jeremy is no longer suitable as a toy, he is a collectors item only.I post Monday – Friday as promptly as possible.
